Static Major Update (cause of death)

As of Thursday, February 28, the cause of death was reportedly "complications from a medical procedure" (as noted by the Jefferson County Coroner). They're not saying exactly what the complications were but it's apparently medical so there was nothinig "illegal" going on.

Several artists like Pretty Ricky's Baby Blue and his friend and bandmate, Black, said that they dedicate their music to him. Static touched many people's lives along with their careers. Some of your (and my) favorite songs were either written, produced or co-produced by him. Black also says that he is going to perform a tribute to Static (real name Stephen Garrett) on Saturday at the A&R Midwestern Hip Hop Showcase. The tribute will start at 7pm at Central High School in Louisville. All of you who are reading and live in that area, please attend and show your support. If not for him, for his closest friends and family. Remember his wife and his children.
