Outkast road Manager and former pro-wrestler Chase Tatum was found dead in his Atlanta home on Sunday (Mar 23), of an apparent drug overdose.
The 34-year-old actor and personal trainer, who appeared alongside Big Boi in 2007’s movie Who’s Your Caddy? had a history of being dependent on painkillers and was set to enter a rehab facility, his father Roy Tatum said.
Chase Tatum entered the WCW in 1999, about five years following his win at the Mr. Georgia bodybuilding competition.
He only remained a part of the World Championship Wrestling organization for a little over two years, but was left with severe back problems.
Then self-employed as a personal trainer, and uninsured, Tatum relied on painkillers to deal with his ailments.
At the time of his death, he was recovering from back surgery to repair a degenerative disc and injuries sustained while wrestling.
“He was in the process of getting his life back together,” Roy Tatum told the Atlanta-Journal Constitution on Monday (Mar 24). “He was confident he was going to turn things around, to live a normal life again without the painkillers.”
The Fulton County Medical Examiner has ordered a toxicology report and should know the exact cause of Chase Tatum’s death in about six to eight weeks.

Shooter Discovered in Death of TI's Assistant
Remember back in 2006 when T.I. and his crew got into that scuffle in Cincinnati which resulted in the death of Philant Johnson? Well amazingly it looks like some headway has been made in this case. It was announced on Atlanta radio station, V103 today that the police have identified the shooter and his motivations along with having two men in custody who were involved.
Like most crimes, the motivation behind the attack on T.I.’s crew is money. A local promoter was conned into thinking that he had secured T.I. for an after party and paid the appearance fee in advance. After learning that this was a sham and T.I. was at another local club, The Ritz, he headed over with several other men and waited for the star to leave. When T.I. and his Grand Hustle crew left the building they were attacked by the promoter and his accomplices which were using both 9mm and .25 caliber pistols in the shootout. Grand Hustle returned fire, wounding one of their assailants but not being able to stop the death of Johnson. The assailant that was wounded had to travel across state lines to get the shooting treated in order to avoid the police figuring anything out.
Cops have announced they are holding two of the shooters but the third one, the alleged promoter, is still on the loose with a warrant out for his arrest. Strangely although there is a warrant out for him, the police have not released his name.
This is crazy to me that they are actually working on a hip hop related murder case. Either way though this is good news and can offer a little bit of condolence to Johnson's family and friends.

Mr. Dirty Dancing, Patrick Swayze diagnosed with terminal cancer
Actor and one-time aspiring rapper Patrick Swayze has been diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer and may only have six months to live, according to reports.
Swayze has starred in a number of classics, including The Outsiders, Dirty Dancing, Roadhouse, Steel Dawn and others.
The 55-year-old actor admitted to experimenting with Hip-Hop as early as 2005, utilizing “rap rhythms” for ballads he was recording.
The actor also unwittingly became involved in Hip-Hop culture when his last name (Swayze) became synonymous with the term to “leave“ or “disappear," after the success of his 1990 flick Ghost.
As a singer, Patrick Swayze had a hit with the single “She’s Like The Wind” from the 1987 soundtrack to the film Dirty Dancing, which has sold over 11 million copies.
Patrick Swayze was also featured as an FBI agent in Ja Rule’s video for “Reign,” which caused controversy when it was released in 2002, as The Inc.’s CEO Irv “Gotti” Lorenzo and his brother, Christopher “Gotti” Lorenzo stood trial for money laundering.
Swayze’s physician Dr. George Fisher issued a statement denying that his patient was on the verge of death.
“Patrick has a very limited amount of disease and he appears to be responding well to treatment thus far,” Fischer said in a statement. “All of the reports stating the timeframe of his prognosis and his physical side effects are absolutely untrue. We are considerably more optimistic.' Patrick is continuing his normal schedule during this time, which includes working on upcoming projects.”

Remy Ma & Papoose Engaged
Papoose and Remy Ma will be man and wife this summer if all goes according to plan for the Hip-Hop couple, AllHipHop.com has learned.
The pair is now formally engaged to be married, according to recent reports. Egypt of BET’s The Black Carpet confirmed the news with AllHipHop.com, saying that Remy Ma shared the exclusive with her.
Egypt made the announcement on her highly rated television show last night (March 6).
The strength of their relationship will certainly be tested, as jury selection has begun for Remy Ma’s trial for the alleged shooting of an acquaintance over money.
The Grammy nominated rapper is accused of shooting a woman twice in the abdomen after leaving a party in Greenwich Village.
Remy, 26, who allegedly accused Makeda Barnes-Joseph of stealing $2,000 from her purse, has pleaded not guilty to assault and related charges.
The pair will probably be using their superior lyrical abilities soon after another alleged assault occurred between Papoose and Fat Joe.
Fat Joe and Papoose recently clashed in a physical altercation that has sparked an intense beef. (Click here to listen to Papooses version of what happened and click here to listen to Fat Joe’s recollection of the altercation.)
Remy Ma, once a member of Fat Joe’s Terror Squad, has released several diss records towards her former counterpart.
Most recently, Remy, born Remy Smith, collaborated with former Terror Squad artists Cuban Link and Triple Seis to release "Moment Of Truth," a song chastising their former friend.
Papoose has long expressed he affection for Remy, as the two have been dating for an unspecified time. In "Bonnie N Clyde," a duet with Remy, Papoose says, "Remy look good in person / just like she do in the magazines / so I’ma stay close to Ms. Martin like Dr. King."

many blessings !

Christian Wins Project Runway ; BET's Rip The Runway
So, I had time to watch the finale last night and all 3 collections that were presented were amazing. However, I didn't really get with Rami's tired draping but it worked because he implemented other elements of style.
Jillian had a nice, wearable collection. She had a few pieces that I questioned but there was this fabulous shirt with a pencil skirt that had slanted pockets. It was fabulous ! (lol)
Christian took the show. I think he pretty much had the season under his arms. Even though he was the youngest, he really handed it to the other designers and showed them modernurbanclassic style. His entire runway show on the finale was hot. He had this dress ( http://www.bravotv.com/Project_Runway/season/4/rate_the_runway/index.php?e=Episode%2014 ) that I fell in love with. I can actually see that design on the red carpet or some lavish ball.

BET's Rip the Runway : Urban Fashion at it's best?
I may be one of the only ones who was NOT impressed by Diddy's attempt to bring urban fashion to the forefront. I don't think his executive producing did anything but advertise that damn Unforgettable. I think some key designers in the urban community were missing. Lables like Rocawear, Coogi, Ed Hardy, LRG, Lot 29, 8732, Baby Phat, Phat Farm, Pastry Shoes, and Mychael Knight -- just to name a few. In my opinion, you have to showcase the hottest in urban fashion - things that people buy or have heard of and have interest in buying.
Snoop's Rich and Infamous line and that CoCo Ri was not on in any sense of the word. Maybe the Rich and Infamous could work for men but that CoCo Ri didn't cut it. Everything that strolled the runway was painfully ugly. And yes, that includes the doggy wear.
I didn't like Sean John's line either. The things that Cassie and Lauren London wore were more like show clothes. I can't see myself or anyone I associate with walking the streets in those. Plus, that's a style that was done LAST spring so did needs to definately step his game up there. I won't knock him completely though. He does have nice shows and some of his clothes are actually nice.
I didn't feel the Applebottom line either. I praised Nelly for stepping his game up and he did. I bought some jeans that looked and felt like a pair of my Seven's . That mess he let walk on BET needs to be burned. I love him and I think he's an amazing talent w/ great vision but that wasn't called for.
There was a plus sized line that I didn't feel either. There was this tacky ass Zebra print dress that wasn't called for. As a full figured woman, I know there's some prints and patterns that I cant put on my body; that happens to be one of them. If you're a little more curvy than some, you can't do an all over pattern. It has to be one or the other because the print will overwhelm you and trust me, it's NOT flattering.
Amaya swimwear was aight...nothing to write home about.
I think the show could've been better. I think years previous outshined this year but hey, who am I ? This is Diddy's world huh ?

tv rundown
Real Housewives of New York (on Bravo)
- Leaving the 'burbs of Orange County and headed to the Big Apple. I think this cast is better than and the show will be better than the Housewives of the OC. They look like they have a lot more drama going on...especially the one with the seemingly gay husband. This show debuts Tuesday March, 4 at 10/9 ct.
Project Runway (on Bravo)
- Project Runway airs its finale Wednesday, March 5 at 10/9 ct. Let's see who made the cut and who didn't. I'm thinking Christian made it..he's the only one who has proved himself time and time again, never having a horrible runway.
Rip the Runway (BET)
- Rip the Runway on BET airs Tuesday, March 4 at 10/9 ct. It's hosted by the gorgeous Lauren London and the oh so sexy Nelly. Laurianne Gibson will also be hosting as an All Access Pass Point host. Diddy's producing the show. Performances will include Webbie, Day 26, Cheri Dennis, Missy Elliot, T-Pain, Flo Rida, N.E.R.D, Snoop, and Trey Songz. Among the designers, the following will be showcased: Applebottom, SeanJean, Rich & Famous, Amaya Swimwear and Monif C.
I wasn't a fan of Applebottom until I saw that Nelly stepped his game all the way up. When it first came out, it looked cheap and the fabric was that stretchy stuff. I didn't knock it, however, because I knew that the line was mainly geared towards the Urban Teenage community. But I saw that Nelly put out some really great jeans and I bought them on a hunch. They fit great and Applebottom is really stepping their game up. He's really evolving in the fashion world.
